The Portuguese exploration of Africa impacted the Africans in a great way. Huge number of Africans were brought to Brazil as slaves to counter the decrease in the number of native Brazilian population. The Africans were available as cheap slaves. The Portuguese exploration of India also had a big impact. The Portuguese captured the sea port of Goa and built numerous forts to protect them. Portuguese were able to break the stronghold of the Muslims and Italians on Asian trade.
