Explain the difference between retrograde amnesia and anterograde amnesia.

Amnesia is a type of disorder that affects memory and implies that it is not possible to remember or retrieve information.

One of the criteria for classifying the types of amnesia is chronological and, in this sense, retrograde and antegrade amnesia are distinguished:

-Retrograde amnesia: In this type of amnesia, the person does not remember what happened before having the disorder. It is the best known type of amnesia and, basically, it is about not remembering the past.

-Antegrade amnesia: Basically, who suffers it can not remember what is happening, that is, has no short-term memory and forgets in a few seconds what has happened. People who suffer from this amnesia can not learn anything new, do not remember the names of things or people they know and do not recognize a face.
