What are some major obstacles that the colonists faced coming to america?

The first settlers of Jamestown endured the problems of hostile Indians, starvation, and poor leadership and government. Jamestown was the second English Colony in the New World (Roanoke being the first) and the Indians attacked the settlers within 3 days of arrival in May of 1607.

Disease, unknown land, natives, and not knowing what crops grow in our soil.

Ifeel like this means that we shouldn't just live for ourselves.also, we should respect others as well as people around us. it reveals that everyone should have equalized freedom, no matter their differences: races, cultures, skin color, etc,. we all deserve the same privileges.
