How did critics view the judicial reform bill under roosevelt?

On February 5, 1937, Roosevelt proposed a judicial reform bill that would have permitted him to appoint up to six more justices to the Supreme Court. Roosevelt proposed this bill because too many of his New Deal programs had been defeated by the Supreme Court. This would allow him to pack the court with justices friendly to his programs. Critics thought the Judicial Reform Bill would assert control of the judicial branch by the executive branch and would impede on the separation of powers.
