4. Your teacher will be a patient and you will be a doctor. Using what you have learned so far you will ask your teacher how s/he is doing and talk with him/her to diagnose his/her problem. You will have three scenarios. These will not necessarily be in this order and you will have to determine what issue they are talking about by asking questions.
You will need to ask what the problem is or how your patient is feeling, ask how it happened or why it hurts, tell the patient what the problem is (diagnose), and what the solution is.
A. Your patient will have a bad headache.
B. Your patient will have a stomach ache.
C. Your patient will have something wrong with his/her leg.
Then you will tell him/her what you want him to do (prescription/remedy) to heal each problem. Make sure you use subjunctive (i. e. “I suggest that”, “I recommend that”, “I want you to,” etc.)
This project will be graded on how many vocab words you use and the correct us of the subjunctive. It is okay to ask questions and use words that don’t seem to fit exactly with the scenario. (You know I have a broken leg but you may still ask if I it itches, for example.)
(We know you are not a doctor, so we do not expect you to prescribe actual types of medicine.)
