Is this a good translation for my speaking assignment? In this speaking assessment, you will have a variety of grammatical tools to choose from. You will be required to speak at least 45 seconds (no more than 1 minute). In this unit, we have learned about the following grammar topics: the present perfect, the preterite, the present progressive, the past progressive, and por vs. para. We also learned some media and art-related vocabulary. Now, you will write your script/scenario and include at least 3 grammar topics and 3 vocabulary words. It will probably be some sort of monologue about a past visit to a museum or an interesting story that you saw on-line. If you want to make it a dialogue with a friend or family member that is also a cool idea. So, to recap, you will write and then read a script with voice inflection and your best Spanish accent for at least 45 seconds. Please use at least 3 grammar topics and 3 vocabulary words from this unit. Be creative. Have fun! Use your imagination! Bonus points if you memorize some of it!

Last week, I went on a school field trip with my art class to the Atlanta High Art museum. We went on this trip during the last week of school for fun. After we reached the museum, we passed through the security guards and went to look at the exhibits. We were walking towards the modern art section when we heard the teacher telling us to come to the older art section. The teacher took us to see a painting. The painting was a perfect copy of the mona lisa. Because I had seen it before, I went with my friends to the modern art section of the museum. We went and saw an interesting watercolor painting exhibit. We saw a sculpture next. We saw more paintings, and before long it was time to leave. We went to the bus and rode back to the school.

La semana pasada, fui a una excursión con mi clase de arte al museo “Atlanta High Art”. Fuimos en este viaje durante la última semana de la escuela por diversión. Después de llegar al museo, pasamos por los guardias de seguridad y fuimos a ver las exhibiciones. Estábamos caminando hacia la sección de arte moderno cuando oímos al maestro decirnos que acudiéramos a la sección de arte más antigua. La maestra nos llevó a ver una pintura. La pintura era una copia perfecta de la mona lisa. Debido a que lo había visto antes, fui con mis amigos a la sección de arte moderno del museo. Fuimos y vimos una interesante exhibición de pintura de acuarela. Vimos una escultura a continuación. Vimos más pinturas, y en poco tiempo era hora de irse. Fuimos al autobús y volvimos a la escuela.
