Hope you are doing fine and getting ready for your vacation in Peru.

It is good to know that people from Peru are so different than American people. First, the family. They are so family-oriented and so close. Here in the United States, we are not so close with our parents. We visited them once in a while and call them by telephone. But in Perú, young adults still live in their parents' home. They hang out with each other, they go to restaurants on weekends and spend so much time together.

Another important aspect is the food. They love spicy food and experiment with different flavors. It is not like in the States. A burger, a sandwich, and a couple of ways to cook your steak. No, in Peru there are hundreds of ways to cook a steak, they have different sausages, they add a different style of vegetables and more. Get your Pepto, just in case.

And finally, transportation. Nobody has a car in Peru. Here in the states, everybody drives a car and that is why there are so many highways. Not in Peru. People in Peru use public transportation day and night. And it is not modern and comfortable public transportation. It's old fashion transportation in old buses. Be aware of that.

Otherwise, you're gonna love the culture of Peru.
