Racism is very bad in America, but, why? Well it involves slavery, which started in 1619 when people kidnapped Africans from Africa and enslaved them. Racism thoe, might be mild or severe, going up to assassination and death. Whites had the 1st class things, like bathrooms, food and service. Colored were treated like ANIMALS being called names, hit and thrown physically. Not even the laws and amendments could stop it. The South liked being in control and started a war. The Civil War. It killed over 75,000 people. Leaders rose up and signs of hope came up too, leaving racism almost nowhere now, but people keep on doing it.
