If you order food and waiting on the waiter, doesn’t that make you the waiter?

No because the waiter doesn’t wait on you they order your food and bring it to you but it would make you a waiter in the way that you are waiting for them

I guess yeah, but technically the actual waiter waits more than you do-

you wait for a table and for your food to be ready but waiters wait for someone to ask for a table, order food, get the food cooked and bring it to you- then they wait for you to be done and bring everything to be cleaned and washed up. then they repeat this for their whole shift
