SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS JAPANESE PLEASE HELP ME TRANSLATE!

so, this is part of my japanese homework. I understand "watashi wa yoru terebi meaning that i (verb) television at night. the verb translates to sukoshimimash1ta, I just don;t know what it means, it could be the parts of two verbs sort of combined sicne it sometimes does that? any help (from someone who knows what they're talking about)

any help would be greatly appreciated (if you know what you're talking about, lol)! also i had to put 1 instead of i thanks tos censoring system, lol.
