Don’t start replacing every noun with a pronoun just yet. When you’re writing and speaking, you should make sure the antecedents for your pronouns are clear. Imagine that a friend runs by and says, “Tell me when they come!” You don’t know who or what to look for, right? In that sentence, the antecedent for the pronoun “they” is vague, or unclear.
