AIRPORTS, AIRLINES AND FLIGHTS
The Springbok rugby players selected to represent our national
team in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan came from different
provinces in South Africa, and some players came from other
countries where they were contracted to play.
To bring the national squad together and fly as a team to Japan
with an official send-off at OR Tambo International Airport on 30
August 2019, all the players had to be brought together in
Johannesburg beforehand through various flights and shuttle trips.
3.1
Study the name list of the 31-member team, with the contracted
resident team they were playing for, when they were selected in
brackets (ANNEXURE A).
Also, study the information on where these resident teams are
based (ANNEXURE B).​
