The phrase "all men are created equal" in the declaration of independence means that all individuals have the same intelligence all individuals have equal amounts of strength all individuals have equal god-given rights all individuals should have the same amount of property

All men have equal equal amounts of god given rights, and maybe strength too.

Betray, destroy, and obey do not need to be changed to add the suffix -ed, because the "y" at the end of each word is preceded by a vowel  (so  they would be spelled  "betrayed," "destroyed," and "obeyed").

but hurry is different; it has to  be spelled "hurried" because the "y" at the end of "hurry" is preceded by a consonant.
