Yes it's an authentic award.

In the story “fish in a tree”, Ally receives the poetry award from Mr. Daniels, but she suspects it is a “pity award.”  But in my opinion it is an authentic award and poetry is not an easy thing, not all of us have this ability. People who have abilities towards poetry are special. These days there are many poetry awards.

People who love poetry, they know the importance of poetry and appreciate poets.
