How could a fish get introduced into the atlantic ocean basin from a private, home aquarium?

This could happen in many ways, but the first thing that came up to my mind was a Flood that destroyed a home and the fish got transported to the Atlantic Ocean. Or you just throw the fish in the Atlantic Ocean which is probally youur most logical answer.
