Gymnosperms:

Gymno means naked, sperms means seedsMostly perennialsThey are evergreen and woodyMostly grown for ornamental purposeExamples includes cycas, pines

Angiosperms:

Angio means covered, germs means seedsAlso called as flowering plantsHave cotyledons for embryo developmentsBased on cotyledons divided into monocots and dicotsThese cotyledons are also called as seed leaves which nurtures the embryo to develop.
