Discrimination is the act of segregating or exhibiting prejudice on a particular set of people for reasons such as race, gender, age, or sex. Discrimination could be overt or subtle. Overt discrimination is frontal and more recognizable when compared to subtle discrimination which is more blurry and difficult to recognize.

For example, if a prospective employer expressly says that female employees are not needed for a role, it is quite easy to recognize this as a form of discrimination. This illustrates overt discrimination. But then subtle implicit discrimination are more difficult to recognize.
