The Cat Message:a. Directions: Each DNA triplet represents one letter of the alphabet. Carefully follow the following steps to determine what the catis trying to tell you. i. Step 1. Translate the DNA triplets (this is a template strand) into mRNA codons
ii. Step 2. Use a chart of mRNA codons to find the correct amino acids (names, three letter codes and one letter codes)
iii. Step 3. Write the alphabet letterfor that amino acid above the appropriate DNA triplet to decode the message. (Note: V and O are interchangeable sometimes, Stop Codons have the letter U as a one letter code)(Note: This is not a perfect message, go with it!)
