How you would prepare a pure sample of zinc carbonate starting with zinc oxide

By reacting a soluble zinc salt such as zinc sulphate with a solution of sodium carbonate. The products are zinc carbonate (which is insoluble and forms a white precipitate) and sodium sulphate which is very soluble and so remains in solution;-

ZnSO4(aq) + Na2CO3(aq) → Na2SO4(aq) + ZnCO3(s)

the electrical  conductivity  of asolution  of an electrolyte is measured by determining the resistance of thesolution  between two flat or cylindrical electrodes separated by a fixed distance.
