Stoichiometry is the calculation of quantitative relationships between reagents and products in the course of a chemical reaction. It also studies the proportion of the different elements in a chemical compound and the composition of chemical mixtures.

A chemical reaction is a process by which a substance is transformed into another by breaking and creating bonds. The reactions are represented in the chemical equations that are made up of reagents and products.
