Segment Two Collaboration Instructions Instructions: Follow the steps below to complete the Segment Two Collaboration. You will submit a copy of your work to your instructor.

Introduction
Have you ever posted or shared messages with friends on social media? When people post on a social media website, they share pictures, opinions, their knowledge, or questions about a particular topic. It is a great way to collaborate with others. In this activity, the Segment 02 Collaboration discussion will be our social media area. You will contribute to other students' postings by sharing solutions that could help them solve their local conservation issue. You will then share your own local conservation problem that needs to be solved.

If you have difficulty locating the discussion, contact your instructor for assistance.

Part One: Sharing Ideas with Classmates
Locate the Segment 02 Collaboration discussion. Read through various posts by classmates. Which ones interest you? Which ones do you have ideas on?

Add a contribution summary on at least two of your classmates' posts by adding a comment. Your contribution to your classmates' conservation issues should add something important to the conversation. It must include the ways other areas solved the same problem, your own ideas on how to solve the problem, and how local government or community groups should be involved in the solution. Most postings on social media are short and concise, so be sure your contribution summary is no longer than 200 words.

Part Two: Posting a Conservation Issue
Have you decided on your topic of choice? If not, take some time and think about one.

The local conservation issue you plan to post about should be different than the posts you shared your ideas on. Give it a subject line that describes the main issue. Then elaborate on the problem. How it is affecting the local ecosystem or people? In what ways is it disrupting the carbon cycle? Try to limit your conservation posting to 300 words.

Check out this student example to see a posting for this activity.

Part Three: Collaboration Reflection
Respond to each of the following questions in two to three complete sentences to reflect on your experience.

What made you choose the topic you selected for this activity?
What made you choose the classmate's post you selected for this activity?
What did you enjoy most about sharing ideas with others in this activity?
Were there any difficulties, conflicts, or issues that you experienced while trying to complete this activity?
Evidence: Include the names of the classmates and subject lines of their posts you replied to. Also, include the subject line of the discussion post for your own conservation issue.

Checklist
When you have completed your conservation post and contributed to two of your classmates' posts, you will submit a copy of all your posts to your instructor. You will also submit your responses to the collaboration reflection questions.

Did you do the following?

Share ideas on how to solve the conservation issues by commenting on at least two other posts.
Post a conservation issue that exists in your community in the Segment 02 Collaboration discussion.
Include your post and all your comments to other posts in your submission to your instructor.
