you have probably completed many writing assignments in class. have you written them by hand? have you needed to
rewrite them to correct mistakes? today you will use a word processing program to complete a writing assignment, and, if
you make a mistake, it will not be necessary to rewrite. we will also use your new formatting skills to put some finishing
touches on the assignment

open a new word processing document and choose from one of the following writing assignments
• type one of your homework assignments
• write an original poem
• write a review about a movie or a song
• write a descriptive paragraph about your earliest memory
when you finish typing your assignment change the font. be sure to select an appropriate font that is easy to read
change the size of the text to 12 point font. include a title and center it. use the thesaurus. use the spell check to identify
mistakes, proofread carefully, and correct mistakes. save and upload the letter
