A device of 200 N in weight is to be isolated from a panel that vibrates at frequencies in the range 10 Hz to 20 Hz. An isolator is designed to isolate at least 80% of the force being transmitted from the panel vibration to the device. Assume the selected isolator has zero damping. Determine: (a) The minimal value of static deflection required for the isolator to achieve the desired isolation. (b) The maximum value of static deflection required for the isolator to achieve the desired isolation.
