In the story, Frances is told to act her age. Do you think someone's age is important to their identity? Why or why not?

My opinion; I believe people should act a little more mature as they grow older, not meaning their age is is important, but if they are 18 they shouldn't be acting like they are 5. If they are 5, they shouldn't be acting like they are 18.
