Drunk driving is a tragedy, and it can be prevented if we keep our youth informed. More than 300,000 people drive intoxicated in a day, when they could've gotten a designated driver, a taxi or Uber, or simply, put the drink down. If you know that you're going to drive, don't drink. Still planning on it? Consider this; in the year 2014, 9,967 people died due to drunk drivers. Out of the 1,070 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2014, 19% involved a driver that was under the influence of alcohol. Over 1.1 million drivers were arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics that same year. In summary, people die because of drunk driving, and if you don't put down that drink, you could be responsible for one or more of those deaths.
