The glass castle : In pages 42-47, we read about Rex and Rose Mary getting into a domestic dispute. We also read about the kids getting into fights - Jeannette gets jumped, and Brian tries to help
her fight the girls that jumped her. They also talk about prejudice. This book is going to
bring up a lot of social issues. One that we have already briefly talked about as a class
was poverty. What are some other social issues that you are seeing pop up in this book so
far? What was happening in the book to make you think of these social issues?
