So I just wrote a new song I call it "Supposed To Be Your Sister"

I put you in these situations
I don't want to cause I know you hate em
but you stand up anyways- no debating

but as soon as they're over
you let go
and once again
to me you're ice cold

Dont even feel like like your sister anymore
cause you treat me like a dirty rag
tossed on the floor
dig me up when its convenient for ya
Id sit here cryin' but you wouldn't see me would ya

you're always on your video games
and everyday it goes the same
you're yellin' and shoutin' and I'm screaming your name
the rare times you hear me
you act like I'm the one to blame

in my head
I see this picture of your life
but I know
I don't fit into the frame

cuz I don't even feel like your sister anymore
and you treat me like a dirty rag
tossed on your floor
diggin' me up when its convenient for ya
I could sit there cryin' but you wouldn't see me, would ya

its a hopeless road
this story's getting old
where you let go, and turn ice cold

I'm supposed to be your sister
or don't you care anymore
Im guessing you don't
since I'm just a dirty rag tossed on your floor
only seeing me when its convenient
i sit here crying
and you don't even see it
and I'm supposed to be your sister

i know you haven't missed her
but I'm supposed to be your sister

Read the excerpt from frederick douglass’s speech “what to the slave is the fourth of july? ”go where you may, search where you will, roam through all the monarchies and despotisms of the old world, travel through south america, search out every abuse, and when you have found the last, lay your facts by the side of the everyday practices of this nation, and you will say with me, that, for revolting barbarity and shameless hypocrisy, america reigns without a rival.what is one way that douglass achieves his purpose of persuading the reader to see his point of view? by relating as many facts and statistics to the reader as possibleby using familiar and casual language to make the reader feel comfortableby using gentle language to evoke a sense of calm and tranquilityby repeating the word “you” to directly relate to the reader
