Southern California is home to the nation's most pleasant climate, making it a top relocation destination for young professionals, retirees
families and outdoor enthusiasts. With its Mediterranean dimate of mild winters and enjoyable summers, particularly along the coast southern
California appeals to nearly everyone. Summertime temperatures in the Los Angeles area, for example, range from an average high of B4 °F to a
low of 63 "E. Summers are warm and dry, lacking the intolerable humidity found in many other regions of the United States. Winter temperatures
seldom dip below 48 F and can often be much warmer, eliminating the threat of snow. ice numbing cold, and sub-zero temperatures that much of
the rest of the nation experiences. As those who live in southern California will undoubtedly agree. Its climate is clearly one of the nicest in the
country, highly worthy of consideration as a destination for a career change or retirement.
