In Chapter 20, "Silver's Embassy", Captain Smollett is offered two deals. The first is that they stop fighting, hand over the map, and Silver promises that once the treasure is on board the ship, he will drop Captain Smollett's men off somewhere safe. The second is that they stop fighting, hand over the map, and let Silver leave without them. Silver promises he will send a ship to pick him up. Of course, Smollett could choose not to take either deal and keep fighting. Would you take one of the deals if you were Smollett or would you keep fighting? Why would you make that choice? If you took a deal, how would you make sure Silver would keep up his end? In a five paragraph essay, explain your choice and be sure to use support from the text.
