1. B. He appears to be humble given the fact that he performed various actions that helped others without neither taking credit for them nor asking for compensation. In one of the last parts, it is possible to see how Elizabeth's father has the intention to pay Mr Darcy for what he did for his youngest daughter, but Elizabeth tells him it is not necessary because Darcy did it just out of the goodness of his heart.
