A. He is sensitive because steve is saying "you are all muscle and no smarts"

The answer is C. Darry is smart, but he had to work for his brothers. (If this is about the book The Outsiders). In that section of the book it even said he graduated high school and won a scholarship to college, he was taking care of "six greasers", two of which were his brothers, not because he had to but because he wanted to.
