How to Make a Musical Instrument There are many kinds of musical instruments. Some musical instruments are hard to make. But there is a special one that you can make easily. To make this special instrument you will need eight tall glasses, all the same size, water, and a pencil. 1. Take the first glass and put a little water into it. The water should just cover the bottom of the glass. 2. Put water into the next glass. This time put in a little more water. 3. Put a little more water in each of the other glasses. The fourth glass should be half-filled, and the last glass should be nearly full. 4. Place the glasses in the order you filled them. 5. Tap the first glass with your pencil just where the water line is. Listen to the sound the glass makes 6. Now tap the second glass at the water line. This sound should be a little lower than the first. 7. Tap the rest of the glasses and listen to the sounds they make. The more water a glass has, the lower its sound will be. 8.
