Unfiltered water is poured into a storage tank at the back. As the rider pedals, the pump is activated and the water is pushed through a filtration system and finally into the clean tank on the front of the bike. Once the water in the front storage tank has been used up by the family, the rider of the Aquaduct can disengage the clutch and turn the Aquaduct into a stationary bike that she can pedal at home to purify the remaining water.
