He is unfaithful to his wife.the reader knows that he is controlling and uncompromising from other scenes in the play, but this scene specifically shows that he has previously been unfaithful to his wife. lady capulet says "ay, you have been a mouse-hunt in your time; /  but i will watch you from such watching now" which is basically saying that he has been unfaithful (a mouse-hunt), but she is going to keep a better eye on him that night.
