A way to understand Alzheimer’s a little more is to think of it as an adult reverting back to a baby. They will eventually struggle to take care of themselves and need assistance. They will slowly forget things as it gets worse. A common sign is becoming more and more forgetful. They will not remember who they were, the family will struggle with this. Every time they meet someone is the later stages of Alzheimer’s, they will think it’s the first time they’re meeting, even if it’s their daughter, son, wife, husband, or any other close family member.
