They are wet because of the temperature of the body

Dog´s don´t have normal sweat glands, they secrete sweat from the pads of their feet to cool down. Also, many dogs lick their noses to cool themselves down, and a wet nose helps them smell better.

By placing 2 fingers at the sternum (the spot where the lower ribs meet) the put the heel of your other hand next to your fingers. hope this
