Okay, so this question might sound weird, and it might sound like it's more for a medical professional but I wonder if anyone else knows the answer to this. so we all have an appendix right, right, well what's the purpose of an appendix, because if there is appendicitis , where we have to have our appendix taken out then do we even need an appendix to begin with? ​

You can live a normal life without an appendix, the appendix is just to protect good bacteria in the gut.
