Regular scheduled checkups are known as Bright Futures well child visits, which begin shortly after birth and last until the teen years. 
Pediatricians follow the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics schedule for comprehensive well child care, called Bright Futures. Each visit has an age appropriate questionnaire.  The questions focus on developmental milestones, nutrition, safety, emotional well being and recommendations.
