Democracy provides the people with a voice. It is not logically to allow every person in a country to have a voice, so political parties align with the wants and needs of the people to create change in the government to reflect the peoples' needs. 

This statement means that political parties are essential in the democratic process because they represent the voices of the masses. Political parties allow people to align based on their ideologies in order to create a government that reflects their will.
