Here are brief descriptions of those three wars:

THE FIRST WAR;

The Israeli War of Independence began as skirmishes between Arabs and Israeils already in 1947, when the regions was still under British Mandate rule.  Then, in 1948, when Israel proclaimed itself as an independent state, surrounding Arab nations attacked to try to prevent Israel from establishing itself.  The Israelis won and maintained their state and territory.  Armistice agreements were signed in 1949.

THE SIX DAY WAR

The Six Day War was waged for six days in June, 1967.  The fighting was primarily between Israel against Egypt, Syria and Jordan, with other Arab nations also sending troops.  Israel won quickly and convincingly and gained control of much territory.

THE YOM KIPPUR WAR

The conflict in the fall of 1973 is called the October War if trying to refer to it by neutral terms.  It is known as Yom Kippur War from the Israeli side, or Ramadan War from the Arab side.  Arab nations fought to regain control of at least part of territories lost during 1967 war.  Israel won once again and no major territorial changes occurred.
