What idea pushed the united states to initiate development projects in other countries

The Marshall Plan was initiated was initiated in 1948 to aid Western Europe. In this plan the government funded billions help the Western economy. After the world war II the American government helped in development of the other countries for all the loses beared during the war.

The economy was falling and the financial aid was very important to grow and develop once again. The American government initiated this plan to help in the development of the societies throughout the world.
