When can a bill be sent to the president for approval?

A bill can only be sent to president once it has been approved by both the senate and the house and  If the president approves the legislation by signing the document, it becomes law and if he doesn't take any action for ten days and the congress is also in session then it automatically becomes a law.  The president can also oppose the bill by vetoing it. If no action is taken y the president and congress has also adjourned its second session then it is known as pocket veto and the bill dies.
