What was the purpose of the quatering act?

answer: king george iii created this act because after the war there was a large debt and king george needed some money to pay off the debt. the quartering act let the soldiers stay at whatever house they what and get whatever they want without having to pay. that way king george wouldn't have to pay for the soldiers.
