Why did Indians realize that the idea of British superiority was a sham

The Indians realized that the idea of British superiority was a scam, because of the inability of  the British government to redistribute food during the war, thus leading to starvation and death of the Indian subjects.

Explanation:

World war two which started in 1939, and lasted till 1945 involved major countries of the world. Some of these countries include Russia, Germany, the United Kingdom, China, Japan, France, and Poland. The aftermath of the war saw a lot of disastrous consequences for the different countries, a major one being starvation.

 Britain was able to keep up with its supply of food from countries such as Australia, which provided its meat. The countries they colonized at that time also provided some benefits to them. However, it was noted that the British government was  not able to achieve equal distribution of food among its Indian subjects. This resulted in the starvation of over a million of its Indian subjects. This thus convinced the Indians that British superiority as a sham.
