Ancient Greece was made up many city-states, near the southern end of a very large peninsula that stuck out into the Mediterranean Sea. The sea helped protect them from invaders, and it allowed sea trade to form. When they were out at sea they had to get food sources somewhere so, they would fish for fish causing them to become great fishermen. They were very culturally diverse, because of how many people from different countries they conquered lived there now-.
