Some Americans were afraid to give too much power because they were afraid, they would think they were rulers and think that they own pretty much everything.  

Why did some people think it was necessary to give the federal government more power than the states?  

The people thought that the states would become more like their own mini countries, they were right... And this actually ended up happening  

What led to the writing of the Constitution?  

The failure of Articles of Confederation is what led to the writing of the Constitution.  

What was the Great Compromise and how did it compare to the Virginia and New Jersey Plans?  

The Connecticut Compromise was the Great Compromise and the Connecticut Compromise compared to the Virginia and New Jersey Plans because that compromise arised from the discordance of the Virginia plan.  

What was the Three-Fifths Compromise and how did it satisfy the states with and without slaves?  

Every slave would be counted as three-fifths of a person for taxation and representation. If the enslaved would have been ignored then they would give the Southern states more power.  

Why were the Anti-federalists against ratifying the Constitution?  

They were ratifying the Constitution because the Anti-federalists against ratifying were complaining that the new system were threating the liberties, and failed to protect individual rights.  

What were the Federalist Papers?  

They were a series of 85 essays written by the one and only Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay.  

Why is the Bill of Rights important?  

The bill of rights is the ten amendments so they are very important to know.  

How might life be different if there wasn’t a Bill of Rights?  

If there wasn’t a bill of rights nothing would change it wouldn’t be very different, honestly it would be fine.
