In the Middle East, especially extremely diverse countries such as Lebanon, Syria, and Iraq, have huge numbers of many people groups that don't really get along. Take Iraq for example. Iraq is a Shia majority country, however, Shias only dominate the south and south-central part of the country, and the minority Sunnis, are the majority in the parts of the country north of Baghdad. On top of this, there are large numbers of Christians, Yazidis, and Mandeans in the country. All of these groups would feel and if the main leader of the country was a member of one specific people group, as the leader may only benefit and represent his community rather the entire Republic of Iraq
