Johannes Kepler was a German astronomer, astrologer, and mathematician. He was actually a very important key figure in the mid 17th century scientific revolution. He could be best known for his two laws of planetary motion. These laws include planets move in orbits shaped like an ellipse, and a line between a planet and the Sun covers equal areas in equal times. One of his main inventions included the Keplerian Telescope, which is used for viewing distant objects, and allows for a much wider field of view with greater eye relief, with the image for the viewer being inverted.
