Why is it important for understanding the Revolutionary mindset? 3) Why is the Stamp Act important in this process of "becoming An American?" What does "Taxation without representation really mean? 4) Why did the African Americans fight in the Revolution? What did they hope to gain? Were they successful in achieving their goals? 5) Some have argued that Africans lost all of their culture due to the traumatic journey across the Atlantic.
