How was the scientific revolution a threat to religious authorities

The scientific revolution was the emergence of modern science in different fields such as mathematics, physics, astronomy, biology and chemistry. This equally introduced the human anatomy and also opened people's eyes about science as a whole, society and nature. This opposed to the biblical view of how human nature came about and contradicted religious teachings of God being the sole creator of all beings and things. It was perceived as an alternate way of seeing the world and this was threatening to the Church as this was a path people could take instead of believing religious tradition on how the world was created.

It wasn't inherent it was self imposed.. the idea of scientific advancement wasn't anyways the implementation of the scientific revolution primarily through the printing press. this printing press allowed for the transfer of religious texts exposing the hypocrisy in specifically in the catholic churches.
